Annual Events
From health fairs and vaccination clinics, to cultural and holiday celebrations, RaisingHealth's signature events create opportunities to connect community members with resources, care, and one another. Lunar New Year Celebration
Held each year with the support of local community organizations, we celebrate Asian American heritage and Lunar New Year through cultural performances, community programming, and access to health and social service resources.
Heart Health Fair
In recognition of American Heart Month, we host an annual cardiovascular health fair in partnership with Weill Cornell Medicine each February. The event offers cardiovascular screenings, risk factor education, and connections to ongoing care and health resources.
ESOL Graduation
Held at the conclusion of our free English as a Second Language program, our annual graduation celebrates the achievements of our students who have strengthened their English language skills while building the confidence to advocate for themselves and their communities.
Flu Clinic Series
Prior to and during flu season, RaisingHealth holds a series of flu clinics providing our community members access to free seasonal influenza vaccinations made possible through partnerships with our local healthcare providers.
Winter Wonderland
RaisingHealth’s Winter Wonderland is a seasonal,
end-of-year community celebration where we partner with community organizations to plan and provide toy and grocery distributions, cultural performances, arts and crafts, gift wrapping , and access to health and social services resources.
Mental Health and AAPI Heritage Fair
Each May for AAPI Heritage and Mental Health Awareness Month, we bring together healthcare providers and community organizations to provide mental health education, multilingual counseling and enrollment support, and culturally-tailored wellness activities.
Health Empowerment Celebration
At our flagship family festival, we bring together over 1500 community members, dozens of partner organizations, and sponsors to provide health screenings, cultural performances, a large-scale food distribution, and more.
Thanksgiving Turkey Distribution
Each November, we host our Annual Turkey Distribution. RaisingHealth provides holiday food support and fresh groceries to ensure that each member of our community can celebrate the season with a nutritious meal.
