Annual Events
From health fairs and vaccination clinics, to cultural and holiday celebrations, RaisingHealth's signature events create opportunities to connect community members with resources, care, and one another. Heart Health Fair
In recognition of American Heart Month, RaisingHealth hosts a preventive cardiovascular health fair with Weill Cornell Medicine focused specifically on heart health. The event offers targeted cardiovascular screenings, education on risk factors, and connections to ongoing care and community health resources.
Lunar New Year Celebration
Held annually in partnership with local community organizations, our Lunar New Year Celebration highlights Asian American heritage through cultural performances and community programming, alongside access to select health and social service resources.
Mental Health and AAPI Heritage Fair
Held in AAPI Heritage and Mental Health Awareness Month, this fair brings together healthcare providers and community organizations to expand access to mental health education, provide multilingual counseling and enrollment support, and offer culturally-tailored wellness activities, such as art-based programming.
ESOL Graduation
Held at the conclusion of our free English as a Second Language (ESOL) program, our annual ESOL Graduation celebrates the achievements of our students who have strengthened their English language skills while building the confidence to advocate for themselves and their communities. Around 200 students participate in our ESOL program throughout the year.
Health Empowerment Celebration
The Health Empowerment Celebration is RaisingHealth’s flagship family festival, bringing together over 1,500 community members, dozens of partner organizations, and sponsors to enjoy a broad range of health, social, and community services, including health screenings, cultural performances and demonstrations, large-scale food distribution, family activities, and prizes.
Flu Clinic Series
RaisingHealth’s flu clinic series provides free seasonal influenza vaccinations through accessible clinics, offered in partnership with local healthcare providers.
Thanksgiving Turkey Distribution
Held each November, our Turkey Distribution provides holiday food support and fresh groceries for local families.
Winter Wonderland
RaisingHealth’s Winter Wonderland is a seasonal end-of-year celebration featuring toy and grocery distributions, health and social services, cultural performances, arts and crafts, and gift wrapping.
