Health Services

Covering everything from your brain to your body, our health services are provided by a passionate team of clinical partners from the community.

Check our calendar to see when our next event is or call (212) 256-9036 for more information.

Mental Health Services

We offer bilingual Chinese and/or Spanish psychotherapy services, individual peer counseling, and group therapy. Our therapists identify with, are members of, or have lived personal experiences prevalent in immigrant populations—allowing us to assist community members who have depression, anxiety, mood conditions, cultural assimilation and other needs specific to the immigrant community.

For community members with more extensive needs, we coordinate with other mental health providers and psychiatrists for a more cohesive experience.

Our mental health therapy services prioritize those who are uninsured or underinsured. If you are interested in receiving free mental health therapy services, please complete this form www.bit.ly/amphswellness and a team member will contact you for an intake, or call (212) 256-9036.

Nutrition & Food Care Program

Bi-weekly Food Pantry

Sponsored by United Way + Send Chinatown Love, our food pantry has served over 1,200 families to-date. Featuring food from various cultures, and in partnership with organizations such as Muslims Giving Back and the 60th Street Community Garden, community members can receive nutritious foods—and enjoy getting to know each other.

The food pantry opens the first and third Saturday of the month to offer fresh, nutritious groceries to our community. Each food bag includes culturally-sensitive servings of fruit, vegetables, and dry goods. To sign up for our food pantry, call (212) 256-9036.

Nutrition Programs

We also offer nutrition education and HealthBucks vouchers, regardless of qualification for SNAP. Check out our education calendar here for upcoming nutrition workshops. To request a HealthBucks voucher, contact us at (212) 256-9036.

In addition to distributing food and nutrition resources, we will also host nutrition workshops and cooking classes—coming soon!

Food policy

Before you come, make sure to download our food pantry policy and get familiar with what to expect.

FREE PPE

We provide community members with reusable surgical and cloth masks, hand sanitizer, and other PPE to keep you safe! Available while supplies last.

You have a dedicated care team who is on—and by—your side.

Community Health Partner

This person is here to make your experience comfortable. They will greet you, tell you what to expect during your visit, serve as your language interpreter (if you would like), and accompany you throughout your visit.

Clinical Partners

Trained and authorized independent clinicians from the community, Clinical Partners are professionals who have partnered with RaisingHealth to provide health services. As someone from the community, they will not only take the time to help you figure out the concerns affecting your overall health but speak to you similar to a friend.

Social Service Case Manager

The third member of your Care Team is someone who will help you with your treatment plan and work with your other care team members to figure out the best and most realistic method of ongoing care.

How to prepare for your appointment

  • Arrive on time. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before.

  • Don’t eat or drink immediately before a screening. In most cases, it is fine to eat and drink on the morning of your appointment, but for the most accurate screening results, try not to eat or drink anything an hour before your appointment.

  • No intense activity before your appointment. Please refrain from engaging in strenuous and labor-intensive activity within two hours prior to your appointment.

  • Wear comfortable clothing. You may be asked to remove bulky and thick garments.

  • Confirm information. Please make sure to complete all the forms and information requests if we have sent them to you.

What to Expect

Step 1: Meet Your Community Health Partner

When you come in, you will be greeted in your language of choice by your Community Health Partner who will show you around and tell you about what to expect during your visit. They will also accompany you throughout your entire visit and serve as your language interpreter if needed.

Step 2: Fill out paperwork

You will then complete paperwork and take a picture with us for your medical records (this is only stored in our secure system so we can easily remember you next time). Please let your Community Health Partner know if you have any questions or concerns as they are there to help.

Step 3: See the doctor or nurse

Depending on the type of visit you book, you may receive a vaccination (such as a flu shot), have a small sample of blood taken from your finger tip, or have your nostrils or mouth swabbed for certain screenings.

See Calendar of upcoming screening events.
